Which BMW is that in this picture?

Good morning,

I just found this old photo and unfortunately can't ask the former owner what kind of BMW it is:

Because of the license plate, I'm guessing an E28, but the front is completely rebuilt 😀

I only found this conversion online for the E30:

Does anyone know more about this than I do?

Greeting,

Maik

Hello

E21 Facelift (from 1980). The rectangle headlights were sometimes in more than 80s fashion at D&W, Kamei, Zender, Albrecht

Rectangular headlights used to have a better light than round that was a problem with E21 with 5.5″ (14.5cm) lights as double headlights with 6 cylinders. The 4 cylinders had a pair of 175s.

The E21 prototypes were tw equipped with Saab 99 or Renault 16 headlights and the BMW was carved for the 6 Zyl to take over the lights of the Garmisch study as a continuation of the 2000 C/CS line.

The 5th E28 never existed as a 2 door and not with rear window.

Both in the photo and in the advertising there is a 3 E21 to see.

There was also a nice front for the E30, but then not with high standing blinkers.

It says “BMW 315 – 323″…

And only because there are 520 numbers, it does not necessarily have to be a 520.

I think this is the E21 that is the model before the E30. The front like the grill, blinker and the lines on the bonnet are quite the same.

So three E21s, I’d say.

I’ll tap the E30.
