Which batteries can I use for my GoPro Hero 2018?
Hello
I bought a GoPro Hero 2018 and upgraded it to a Hero 5 with a firmware update, but I only have one battery. So I wanted to buy replacement batteries. I found two compatible batteries on the GoPro website:
- https://gopro.com/de/de/shop/mounts-accessories/hero8-black-rechargeable-battery/AJBAT-001.html
I currently have the black battery, and the blue battery says "Note: A camera software update is required for use with HERO5 Black and HERO (2018) cameras."
So, which batteries should I use?
If you had thought and looked exactly, you would have noticed that there is an FW update for your camera that is required for the use of the battery. And as it reads for me, you were playing a totally wrong thing… wondering how it is. O
Someone created a patch for the firmware of Hero 5 (https://gethypoxic.com/blogs/technical/latest-gopro-hero-is-actually-a-gopro-hero5) but I don’t think I can write an exact guide here 😂
I’d rather leave such rumborns. The official update, the good battery and theme completed.
Buy eyes on the battery…. these are 2 very different designs. But neither are available.
As with the car…you can’t pack any battery (even if they look the same) in any vehicle. Not anymore.
Well, the Hero 2018 and the Hero 5 have the same hardware installed the only difference is the firmware my Hero 2018 now also has 4k30fps and also GPS and all the other features that the Hero 5 also has my question is just what battery I should buy and what difference there are with the two batteries
