Which area of IT should I go into?
Good day everyone,
I am currently training to be an IT specialist for system integration and am in my third year of training. I will soon have to decide in which department I would like to take my exam and start after my training.
I have two teams to choose from that I equally like: the network team and a team from medical IT/medical applications (Ris Pacs/application support) and everything that goes with that, such as interfaces, HL7, fhir, etc. I find both areas very interesting and the choice is difficult for me, but I'm wondering which industry is safer and where you can earn more, even if I were to change companies.
Because I find both areas equally interesting, I tend to prefer the area where I have better future prospects and can earn more.
For this reason, I hope that someone can help me here. Which industry would you recommend?
Thank you
Clear network.
Networks exist in every company – these special medical applications only in this medical environment.
With applications it can always happen that something changes fundamentally and you are no longer needed as an administrator.
In the case of networks, you'll get something new if it's not going to run for you at some point in the current company.
Thank you!
Is the network industry a good choice for possible merit?
I would also recommend going to the network team. Much more universal and opens up a considerably larger labor market.
