There is no one I personally admire, but there are many whose acting performances have impressed me – too many to begin with a list here.

Just the last performance I saw that impressed me (the day before yesterday):

Rosamund Pike and Chris O'Dowd in 'State of the Union'.

He's a great actor who's very versatile, and he always brings that certain something to his roles that makes them special and therefore unique: Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, and many more. And it's because of him that I love watching his films.

Hi. Rowan Atkinson :). He's simply top-notch. His humor, his films, and his constant comedic face. All in all, he's great đź‘Ť.

Most likely Yul Brynner, Marlon Brando, and Peter Ustinov. Brynner came to the USA from Siberia via China and France, was in the circus (like Burt Lancaster and perhaps Cary Grant), was in the theater, and then became an actor. He is also said to have fought against the Nazis.

Brando and Ustinov both campaigned strongly for poor and oppressed people. Brando campaigned for Native Americans and African American civil rights (including James Garner and Burt Lancaster in the latter), and Ustinov campaigned for poor children.

Otherwise there are actors who developed and implemented their own good film ideas and were also really good directors (especially Chaplin, with funny but also contemporary critical films, but also Welles, Eastwood, Redford, Stallone, Ben Affelck, Damon).

There are big names like Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Javier Bardem, Donald Sutherland, Richard Harris… Some are also successful directors. Angelina Jolie (I think she's a very strong actress, also multifaceted); I also admire Helen Mirren and Kathy Bates (especially as Dolores) for their artistry.

In Joker, Joaquin Phoenix took his acting skills to the next level and demonstrated that he's one of the greatest. The same goes for Leonardo Di Caprio, who finally received his well-deserved Oscar for The Revenant.

But we in the German-speaking world also have, or had, some good people whose talent deserves the greatest respect. Christoph Waltz, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Götz George…

All of the aforementioned actors manage to generate tension even in the most unspectacular script. If they were involved, the film may not be particularly good, but it's by no means bad.

I really like Lee Min Ho and Cha Eun Woo. They're both South Korean actors, and I've seen them in several K-dramas. Their acting talent and charm really captivated me, and they're also really good-looking.

Keanu Reeves is very unconventional in his lifestyle as a multi-millionaire actor.

But of all of them, Al Pacino is by far the best in The Godfather, demonstrating the most admirable acting. He acted from the corners of his mouth to his eyes.

None, they are just actors who are completely different in reality, but I think Leam Nesson, for example, is good, but I don't admire him.
