Wow, there's some really cool stuff there! And to be honest, it's pretty new to me. As someone who practically grew up with this sound (or at least the one based on it back in the '80s), I feel emotionally at home there.
It certainly doesn't seem like the 80s are over musically. Rather, they (or what evolved from their sound) have lived on with increasing intensity in recent years. Sometimes it seems to me that the current offerings that continue this musical style seem to be far greater than those from the 80s themselves.
The choice was really difficult for me. It could equally well be Angel Olsen or Sexy Suicide, but really, it's pretty much all of them. I didn't dislike anything here; you can immerse yourself in the sound everywhere. Some of it might be somewhere between Eurythmics, Alphaville, or Human League (especially on their album "The Travellogue"), or even Depeche Mode or Ultravox, and many others. But as I said, one shouldn't necessarily draw comparisons; each band is unique.

These are really good tips, thanks! 😊👍
Thanks for the stars! I'm currently listening to more from everyone, and you all have other great pieces!
There are also mixes from this genre on YouTube. You might be interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhJyx21PzPw
Yes, thanks, they sound good too!
Of the ones listed here, I like "After Dark" the best. I've listened to it many times.
I love the 80s and I don't like any of the songs, but this one is still okay.
…at least from this selection 😉
