Where is the last quarter of the disco fox basic step?

You always dance in disco fox:

Step 1

Step 2

Tap (touch the ground without weight)

Yes, disco fox is always danced in 4/4 time (four-four time). Since there are two steps and one tap (meaning only three-quarters of a beat is covered, according to my logic), I'm wondering where in the sequence of steps the last quarter of the 4/4 time is covered?

I believe that the time that passes between the tap and the basic step starting again (1st step) always corresponds to the last quarter of the 4/4 time.

Is that correct?

Discofox is not danced in the cycle.

The first shift of the second step takes place on clock beat 4 . u.s.w

The basic step is then counted (even at the pace):

1 – 2 – Tip – 1 – 2 – Tip

etc.

Yeah, you really notice it. that covers exactly 3 of the 4 cycle times – because the associated disco music is in 4/4 clock. Disco-Fox is danced exactly like Foxtrott or Quick Step with constant clock offset and thus also concrete offset. This is characteristic of these dances and also makes their appeal.

In the D-Fox, there are therefore also a few steps (“figures”) which additionally run over 4 cycle times. It always fits. Therefore, when you get out of the clock, you can also keep a bit slower in some cases until you get back to the clock.
