Where do I register a business?

I already have a business and I have now moved and have a new address for the business, but a different tax office is also responsible because I am now in a different federal state.

What do I need to do now? Report the business to the town hall in the area where it's located?

or go to the town hall where I live?

or to the responsible tax office

You inform the tax office of your move in writing or by email. It is best to also tell the tax office whether and where your business is moving (this makes life easier for them).

And then you register your business at the town hall/trade office

A business registration change is only possible in the same federal state.

You must deregister the business in the old city (form GewA3) and register it in the new city (GewA1).

The tax authorities are informed automatically.

Simply fill out the business registration form and send it to the relevant municipality or city.

Of course, you can also go to the municipality or city and fill out the form there.
In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether you do this with your old or new parish. If in doubt, call them first.

Yes, of course, they also get the trade tax.
