Profile files, temporary files, the operating system itself (Windows 10 needs ~37GB) and so on.

If you want to know exactly, you can download the TreeSize Free program.
This is free and so you can let which folder and which file on your hard drive consumes as much memory and sort everything by size.

  • Fragments of the hard disk, which are only partially described with data, but are still reserved as “full”.
  • Non-visible (system) files – depending on the setting of the Explorer options

Old plate? Maybe a part is no longer available as defective partitions. If it is empty, it is deducted from the available memory.

Defragmentation brings nix, SSD would be an option.
