Where can you live in a forest in a natural environment?

I wanted to make a life change with a very good friend sometime in the near future. We wanted to travel to a suitable area with minimal equipment and a lot of survival skills and try to survive there independently, without electricity or mechanical assistance. It was our way of finding out whether such a journey could make us happy.

So my question to you is, can you roughly suggest any places where it's possible to live in a community without extreme government influence? Build a house, support yourself with crops, and engage in minimal hunting (bow and arrow). I'm also looking for countries with a more temperate climate zone, as I have a strong connection to European jungles. I'd appreciate some tips from you.

Kind regards, Timo Have a nice evening!

WATER

  • Building houses and going hunting are regulated and monitored by the state in all European countries and are therefore not simply possible. In Wädern you can’t just “live” or “resident”, not at all with permanent residence, even with construction of buildings. In the forest you will not be allowed to build a house anywhere, and if this will also bring some conditions and will not cause considerable costs (building permit, static…). Hunting permits are easier to get, but certainly not without regular hunting leases (costs) and appropriate certifications (hunting certificate).
  • Life without contact with civilization will fail at the latest in illnesses or accidents — or awkward and suffering.

REALIST RATES

  • Be the first to take care of a hunting license, which can be made easily with appropriate hunting associations and make first experiences with killing, taking out and using animals. If that’s your thing, it’s not safe… You get to know the legal situation and learn to control hunting weapons.
  • Second, a small piece of forest in Germany and a few trees fall. Start to saw and split. Take courses in the field of carpentry and look at how to build wooden structures and wooden houses and which diverse devices are necessary for this. Turning a tree trunk into a house of boards and beams does not just go with axe, hammer and fox tail.
  • Thirdly, there are several weeks of adventure trekking tours through Canadian forests with a group. There she learns survival in the woods, exposed survivors and the like. That would be a harmless preparation and will show you if that were anything for you.

I can’t call you the best place, but I’d look in here.http://www.permakultur-akademie.de/front_content.php

I believe they also offer courses and you can certainly need this knowledge. They can also inform you about projects or give you location tips.

There is a lot of nature in Sweden and everyone’s right. But even chasing is difficult, as this is certainly not seen as much;D. Overall, I believe that you are overestimated. What about sleeping? Are your stomachs cured against river water? How do you want to keep warm? How long? I would recommend 2 weeks because this is completely enough and also a mixture of normal tents and your ideas.

It’s quite manageable, yet it won’t be as easy as you imagined. Pure interest… I would still recommend you only 2 weeks 🙂

I would have thought of Spessart, Steigerwald or Bayerischer Wald. But chase, even with arrow and bow, of course, this is not possible without a hunting license and a precinct.

Why do you want to go to the forest? Join your home with minimalism.
