Where can I find a sewing instructor?
I hear from people every day that they've never seen clothes as beautiful as the ones I design on paper. Designing is my only talent, and it would be wasted potential if I didn't sew. Many people also say they'll buy my clothes, and I need the money, so I want to sew and sell clothes. That's my biggest dream.
I've spent hours watching tutorials. I've oiled the machine, purchased high-quality fabrics and threads, adjusted the thread tension, installed a new bobbin, installed new, high-quality sewing needles, and read the instructions.
Nevertheless, the sewing machine is acting up, and I've been searching for the cause for months, but I can't find it. The bobbin thread gets tangled, and the sewing machine keeps jamming. I've scoured the internet, trying to solve every problem mentioned.
My only problem is: I have no friends, only a partner who is neither interested nor knows anything about it.
I need an experienced seamstress with whom I can Skype, preferably via video chat, so they can see where the problem is. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to pay someone like that (sometimes I don't even have money for food). How can I find someone who will take a look at the item for a quarter of an hour and not charge too much?
If you have a used and older machine, it is well possible that it is resinized that threads, fibers or fabric residues have collected somewhere that the coil is twisted or that part has bent. Sewing machines must therefore be kept regularly. Means: to be taken, cleaned, oiled, controlled and repaired if necessary. Professionals do this and it costs money. A simple inspection without spare parts around 100€. Private will not do that, or you won't find anyone who has the necessary knowledge and does it for free.
It can also be that you have the wrong needle for the fabric, the wrong thread tension or a bad sewing thread. Or you were wrong. Or a defective plate, so the fabric is eaten. Right. Right. Right.
In short, no one will be able to help you via Skype.
Even you can only teach sewing with a working sewing machine (meaning that you need to let them wait) and in the first time you will throw a lot of money out for fabric, yarn and needles to the window because you have to practice first. Or you'll save the money you threw out and make a course. It doesn't work otherwise.
Schneider:in is a teaching profession.
Even if you can sew these clothes, you will not be allowed to sell them so easily in this country.
Do you have any idea of cutting technology, material science, costing and selling?
I don't want to take the wind out of the sails, but you'll have to invest a lot before you can offer anything sewn.
There's the least problem is your jack machine.
First of all, I would take a sewing course at a folk college to give you an insight into matter.
And if you don't have any "money for food", then I wonder where the means for "high quality substances" come from. Fabric you buy model-related when you determine the consumption of material – you can't even know in advance what quantity you need. And you want to do something specific and then lack 30 cm of fabric….
Well, I don't even have money to eat, where should I afford it? I got the fabrics from the dead grandmother of my friend, as well as the sewing needles etc. I don't want to be world-famous like Carl Lagerfeld, but sometimes something for me to sew and sometimes on ebay. I sometimes sell some jewelry on eBay.
I want to get in before I fix my whole life on it
There are bunches of people who just make it a hobby by the way, I'd make it a hobby. I can cook and cook my friend, but I don't have to do any training to cook.
You're making it easier than it is.
As I said, do a sewing course.
And it is a huge difference between housewives cooking and what is offered in a restaurant.
I didn't ask for a free time if you have a knowledge of cuts.
In addition, I really only need someone with experience (no matter whether profession or hobby), who explains what's going on with the machine. Then I'll get some experiences and see if I can imagine.
Do a sewing course. There is a lot to explain to you.
Then hang a corresponding note in your settlement to a tree. Many older women can still sew quite well. Or ask if you can hang a note with your number in the baker/food shop or the like.
There are many hobby cutters who have learned this without cursing. I just want to have this as a hobby before I do something professional. I'm not a Carl Lagerfeld. I'm just asking for a connoisseur who helps me with my jack machine
I have no money for it. In addition, the next sewing course is away with a four hour bus ride, because I live on a cow village. I really just need someone looking at my machine
