When it comes to e-scooters, is the total weight always assumed or does the often 120 kg load limit only refer to the driver?

I've often seen e-scooters that can support up to 120 kg. But can they really support a person weighing up to 120 kg, or do you have to take the weight of the e-scooter into account?

Up to 120 kg of extra charge, which I find quite little. In autumn with jacket, jeans and backpack this is quickly exceeded …

In the case of vehicles: Approved Totalweight. And there’s everything in there – from the valve cap on the tire to the driver’s spectacle lens.

For bicycles and e-scooters, however, not.
100 kg total weight would be a joke, so even some 15-year-olds shouldn’t drive with it anymore 😂
But don’t think that’s actually being checked for a police check as long as you don’t look like Reiner Calmund in his best times…

With a total weight of 120 kg and a net weight of, for example, 12.5 kg, such a filigree vehicle should probably reach its limit with a load of 107.5 kg. And in police checks, m.W. has never been weighed a person before when the vehicle looked overloaded…

This is most likely the load, i.e. the driver with the bag and co (but not the vehicle weight).

120 kg are already a lot. The battery is quickly empty, even if it still stops.

I would recommend a test drive.

I find 120 kg rather little. Now in the summer, where you have almost nothing, that may go. In autumn with sweater, thick jacket, jeans and backpack with drinks in it, this is quickly achieved.

You may not be heavier than 120 kg if you have a backpack with heavy books, bottles or so, the one that counts, i.e. you weigh 100 kg, the backpack 10 kg, you together 110 kg. Pass.

But do they really keep up to 120 Kg people or do you have to calculate the weight of E-Scooter?

hahahahahahaha!!!

The question saves my night!

If you include the weight of scooters, you can let a baby drive at home;-)))

dear Tanja,

it was a joke of me. At 120 kg the weight of the e-scooter can be included.

It doesn’t weigh much.

But there is a difference:

Total weight: That means everything. Vehicle and additional weight.

But if one speaks of load, the weight of the load is meant.

In addition, the manufacturer always specifies the exact data in the operating instructions.

All right?
