When is stress at home no longer normal?
Hello,
I have a question:
I am 19 and live with my mom.
I have the feeling that I am never enough.
I do everything the way people expect me to at home, but I still get into trouble for everything. I've been feeling extremely depressed for months and I'm not really happy anymore.
I once thought about talking to a therapist because when I talk about what I don't like at home, I feel like I'm not really understood.
However, I don't know if that's a reason at all or if I'm just exaggerating.
It's best to talk to your parents about it; it's possible that something like this can happen unconsciously when you're stressed yourself.
Even if that shouldn't happen often.
If they don't take your feelings into account, I would say that they are not treating you normally.
Hey,
As soon as it becomes a burden for you, it is reason enough.
Therapy places are often difficult to find and it takes a long time until something becomes available.
You could perhaps go to a psychosocial counseling center. They're free, anonymous, and don't require a referral or anything. You might be able to come there and talk about it.
