When is it below 3.5 ng with weekly consumption?

Hello everyone,

I was a long-time cannabis user, but have now stopped so I can get a car again.

I have the following questions: Does anyone have any experience with how many months it takes to test negative for THC again? (Approximately, I test myself regularly.) And what about the new limit of 3.5 ng? How long can you be off the road if, say, you smoke 1-3 cigarettes once a weekend to get back below the legal limit? Is 12-48 hours enough?

And yes, I know, many people will now say, just stop it altogether… but it's no longer a criminal offense per se.

I would be grateful for any advice from experts and people with their own experiences 🙂

Hello users191209,

For the detection of cannabis in general:

THCin the bodyHalf-lifeof about 52 hours. In the blood canTHCup to three days whose degradation products are detected for up to three weeks. In urine canTHCfrom one week to three months (depending on the intensity and frequency of consumption). In the hair isTHCfor several months. In the case of detection of cannabis in road traffic, fines and driving licence withdrawal may threaten. due to high fat solubility and the storage ofTHCin fatty tissue, the consumption of cannabis from all drugs is the longest detectable.

Normally, you should be below 3.5 ng per ml of blood 24 hours after consumption.

The duration of the test is up to 12 weeks.
In individual cases also longer, depending on the daily frequency of consumption and quality of supplied cannabinoids.

If you reach the clean status and then only smoke one to three lunts on weekends, you can expect a police urine snell test to be positive for several days.
If you are under the 3.5 ng limit, then only one subsequent blood collection can be determined.
If you are a ‘drive starter’ or as in the trial period, you will get serious lapping problems even if you are under 3.5 ng. For these groups: zero cannabis, zero alcohol.
