WHEN do you think the ERA of "GOOGLING" will end?
It's already partly due to artificial intelligence; Fewer and fewer people are browsing websites one by one and reading individual articles about their questions. Chatbots (eg, the well-known ChatGPT) deliver a personalized answer to your question, and AI takes over the research and browsing of websites for you in a short amount of time.
Even though we're still relatively early on, I suspect that at some point it will be "Remember back then… when people googled and wasted their time…"
People always want the convenient and quick way, so I could imagine that a nearly perfect chatbot could slowly establish itself in the mainstream as a kind of new GOOGLE and that our well-known search engine or research on the Internet as such would partly really be history.
What do you think? You can vote on when you think traditional "Googling" will be replaced and share your opinion.
The AI cannot take it off to ask the right questions and understand the answer received, examine, question.
It will therefore change at most the method as we google. But you still have to look for what you want to know from various sources.
If you don't do this, you're going to get false information. That was already when there was no writing and will be like that in the future. Because trust is good, control is better 😉
where is the fun? I don't want to get something prettiered without knowing the sources / backgrounds. That's what they're talking about.
Maybe a bit earlier. Development progress at AI is enormous. In this way, the entire technology continues to develop in our lives at an unprecedented pace.
Google is still needed in time. But only a few. Of those who have a certain quality claim to the information sought. There's a lot of them out today. More and more people are satisfied with any fast information without source information that has been distributed by anyone or generated by Chat Bots.
But a small part will not subdue this manipulation and continue to research information before they believe it. But due to low demand, the tool search engine will think I will disappear in the long term.
But I hope it will take a little longer.
If there is a technology that makes Google superfluous. Maybe the World Wide Web right in the head. Access to everything in it is pure with the power of thoughts.
Just one example that Google and the Internet as we know it would not be necessary any more.
Coca Cola has been there for almost 150 years
Most people are not able to research things independently. Not 10 years ago, not now, not 10 years ago.
It looks hard. People become more and more comfortable, at some point they can't even think about themselves.
I also find that convenience in an overdose is poison:D
It is simply wrong to rely too much on this AI – especially if the results are not checked for accuracy. And a sinuous side effect: Thinking is taken away from human beings, the brazing increases.
I prefer to rely on myself and invest time and work in research. That's how I keep my head fit.
The development will increase so rapidly that even in 5 years hardly anyone googles it.
I think most people simply don't understand what a potential AI is and how quickly they develop.
