When do I use les and when do I use ces?
I have a concrete example:
Il raconte beaucoup d'histoires aux tourists.
This history is interesting.
Tourists love it .
Couldn't one also write …ces adorent here?
Translated, both mean: this
I'm getting confused about the meanings…
Thank you
Les touristes= the tourists
=> read= Article in plural
Les touristes les adorent= the tourists love them
=> the second “read” is an object pronoun in the plural
ces tourist= these tourists
=> ces= demonstrative pronouns
ces tourist les adorent= these tourists love them.
Il raconte beaucoup d’histoires aux tourist.
Ces histoires sont intéressantes. These Stories… Demonstrative companion
Les touristeslegadorent. … like they Very. Personal pronouns . direct object
1 “ces” doesn’t fit here at all.
Ces pulls ne me plaisent pas. Je ne les achète donc pas.
I don’t like it. So I don’t buy them.
