WhatsApp voice message listened to by the recipient?
I sent a voice message via WhatsApp.
I now see two blue check marks, but the microphone is still gray.
Strangely, the dot in the "Play slider" is blue on the WhatsApp Web version, but when I open WhatsApp on my Android, the dot in the voice message is gray.
If I call up the information about the message, a timestamp is entered for "Seen", but there is only a dash for "Listened".
Is it possible that the recipient still listened to the voice message? I've read many conflicting statements on this. Often, it's stated that the two blue checkmarks only appear when the recipient clicks play. Other statements say that the blue checkmarks appear as soon as the recipient "views" the voice message, and that the voice message has only actually been listened to if the microphone and dot are blue and a timestamp is entered for "Listened."
However, I've also read that it's possible to not get a timestamp even if the message has been listened to. This is possible, for example, if the message is listened to while the phone is turned off. But how is that possible if the phone is turned off? Perhaps via the web version on the PC?
Ask:
Is it possible that the voice message was listened to by the recipient despite the missing timestamp for "Listened" and the missing blue microphone, but with two blue check marks?
What happens to the "Played" timestamp indicators when you listen to the voice message without an internet connection?
In my knowledge, the two blue hooks are only the sign that the message was opened. So it was seen that a voice message is there, but not pressed on Play.
However, there are contradictory information, some sources say that the blue hooks only come when the message was also heard, other sources say that the blue microphone has to be displayed, again other sources say that there are also constellations, so that the microphone remained gray even though message was heard. Perhaps there are other opinions/experiences here?
