WhatsApp only shows messages when you open the app?

I have the following problem with WhatsApp:
- Messages are only displayed when the app is opened
- the other one only has 1 hook
The problem has existed for about 2 weeks, perhaps other users are also affected.
I have two iPhones, and the problem only exists on one of them. It's on the same software version for both the operating system and WhatsApp and iOS.
All settings have been checked multiple times to ensure that no errors (settings) are possible.
The only thing I haven't done yet is delete the app and reinstall it.
Do you have another idea?

Do you think about the phone or app? I can’t find a function cache empty from WhatsApp.
In apps go on the phone. then whatsapp look somewhere that will then empty the cache
