Today I was on the phone with a friend and suddenly the connection broke off and he heard a noise and my voice slowed down and sounded electronic. However, I didn't hear any of those same noises. Are we being tapped or was it a mistake?

WA calls go via Internetz and server, there can already be a line, the data is redirected or whatever. It was just a technical sip on the connection.
