What was your first thought when you heard MJ's 2000 Watts?
I thought someone else was singing that, but what does the song do on the album then?🙄

I would be interested to know whether, in addition to all the national anthems, marching songs, etc., there were any unusual performances by the Bundeswehr Staff Band or similar state orchestras in which something unusual was played, for whatever occasion. By this, I do not mean those well-known appearances such as Angela Merkel's tattoo, or…
Hey…I don't really understand this. Does anyone happen to know and can explain it? As precisely as possible. How on earth is he supposed to kill so many people? That's just not possible. He doesn't even know where they live.
If so, on which one(s)?
Hey, I personally like listening to many different styles of music. I personally cannot assign this song “Faithful” by Stella Rose to any genre I would like to hear your opinion on this. Personally, I like the dynamics and the energy and also the interplay between the instruments and the deep vocals. The singing is…
Is it because we really "grew up" with some of them, musically? Or are there deeper reasons?
The same has been said by others in terms of 2000 Watts. Since MJ has rarely used his lower voice register, many people are surprised when they hear the song.
I heard the song for the first time along with the remaining songs from the Invincible album. I can’t remember that I was particularly surprised that he sang deeper. In other songs like You Can ́t Win (the end of the song) or Burn This Disco Out, he also sang deeply in some places.
I heard him for the first time on the release day of the album Invincible. The album went through completely. Before that I heard Speechless, which I found so beautiful that I heard it twice. I hadn’t done that with any other song. Then 2000 Watts came.
At first I received the song at this point of the album, because he did not fit at all this point of the album. This beautiful ballad and then the total rupture: 2000 Watts. The song meets the title. He could meet my expectations. This aggressive sound. I was thrilled! It was another sound that MJ offered here. I felt this song innovative and experimental. I’d like to have more of that.
2000 Watts, I felt as an ingenious number. I would have liked to see how MJ would have released a video on this song or would have performed it live. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. I still find the song isolated. His voice in this song was nothing unusual, his dark voice was not unknown to me. It wasn’t particularly surprised or questioned that it couldn’t be MJ.
Today I still find that the song after Speechless was simply placed wrong on the album. Like so many other songs of the album. Besides, Shout would have listened to Invincible. But these are other answers to other questions…
Boygroup song. Still, he likes me, has good power. In 2001, Boygroups like the Backstreet-Boys and NSYNC were popular, probably MJ wanted to do something with his 2001 album “Invincible” …
