What types of crabs can you use?
Hello, I have a 390 liter discus aquarium with a good group of 40-60 neons and a few catfish, etc. What crabs can I put in such an aquarium at 29°C?

Hey.
Sounds like a great pool.
Crabs are always a tricky thing in freshwater aquariums, as many of them need a land part.
But I have something for you. What do you think of the panther crab (Parathelphusa pantherina)? It doesn't grow very large and lives purely in the water, so it doesn't need a land part. Panther crabs also live in warm waters of 27-30 degrees Celsius, so that would be fine. They're just not the biggest, at a maximum of 8 cm. But they don't have to be. You don't see them that often in stores. But there are definitely shops that offer them online.
I hope I was able to help you.
good luck with your pool

Thank you
I have no experience with crabs but you can use Florida crabs or marbled crabs, but CAUTION Marbled crabs can produce clones. This means they reproduce on their own without a second crab.
Excuse me?! They can clone themselves?
