What to feed instead of treats?

Hey 👋🏼

I'm currently teaching my horse a few tricks and lateral movements from the ground. She's learning very well and often gets treats when we practice. However, she's not the slimmest, so I was wondering if there might be relatively large feed pellets I could feed as an alternative to treats. If you know of any, I'd love to hear your ideas 🙂

LG MyPony 🙂

Instead, would simply feed fruit (but in small quantities!) or a little vegetables, you just have to look what it tastes. Best as little leakage as possible!

That’s true. But it brings vitamins and variety. The best are Hagebutten that you can put super in the bag that have a lot of vitamin C.

the tastylis must be removed from the crib food anyway.

so it is trained without tastylis if the pony is overweight.

You wrote up that she’s not the slimest one? And that means overweight.

Fruits and vegetables. But don’t exaggerate. A horse doesn’t need so much leak. Praise with voice and touch is better anyway. Otherwise it only makes the Pfeed for leaks and no longer without

How about GAR NOTS.

To fix the horse on a fodder loom is inseparable and inefficient anyway. In addition, one usually trains the best way to get a snappy crocodile!

You could also bake some, I did it for a while. If it is in measure you can also use dried bread or rosehip as tasty 🙂

You might also buy him badly is healthier e.g. in a nice dish and quite large pellets (I also use myself) has deucavallo

Müsli is the most untiring in horse food. That would make the poor animal thicker.

How much are you giving? Three bucks go into the 10 kg of hay, which so a one-hufer is crushed on the day. The animal was not fat.

If, of course, you give masses, the question arises whether praise must really always be eatable. They are also looking forward to a joyful gesture. If they have the impression by mimics, gestures, sound of voice etc, they have made it good, this is also praise for the horses.

Because of the figure, as I said, I would take the food in the remaining 23 hours of the day to a critical consideration.

Yes. I have known for many years from the Clicker Group the option that you can feed haycobs to dry instead of normal leaks. Previously the company Schröder, I find the best price performance ratio at Warnecke meanwhile. Use the heucobs both as a basic food and as a treat and have been completely satisfied for 10 years.

Maybe Hagebutten or so small “Clicker Tasterli”. Or haycobs for dripping feeding (has e.g. Krämer horse sports).

Or the Krämer Natur Leckerlis. There are soft, they are actually only pressed hay with minimal additives.

I don’t find mineral bricks bad, only if you would, much, give some break apart or just look that there are smaller portions, because too much minerals is also not grade good

Please don’t give mineral food as a treat. The amount should be exactly metered.

They are so minimally dosed… Otherwise, on the feeding recommendation a big horse would not stand 5

Are there a certain sugar bomb

In fact, it is necessary to admit that fresh carrots consist of 90% of water anyway. The few grams of sugar then really do not fall on in the ration for a big horse and a tube.

Yeah, but then the sugar in the cookie doesn’t bother. If, on the other hand, one puts into proportion what is in a modern chuck, …
