What to do if the doctor stitched incorrectly?
I had an appendectomy 2 weeks ago.
The appendix was removed through three holes in the abdominal wall.
After 2 days I would be discharged from the hospital because my wound was healing well.
At my follow-up appointment with my family doctor, however, it was noticed that the stitch on the lower left side had been placed incorrectly. The stitch was over the wound instead of closing it.
My doctor had hoped that the stitches were under the skin and that everything would be fine. She stuck strips over the wound, hoping they would hold.
Today I had the stitches removed and it was clear that the stitches had been placed incorrectly because I have a gaping hole in my abdomen.
I've been referred to a surgeon, which I'll follow up on tomorrow.
Should I sue the doctor who stitched me incorrectly?… I mean, it's an open hole, thanks to his mistake…
I also have pictures of the wound, but they're pretty gross… So I'm not uploading them.
You just don’t have to sue everyone. Maybe he made a mistake. Let it fix and then be good.
Problem is only that there is no longer much to fix
If it’s staying and you’re bothering, you’re complaining. Maybe you’ll get a lot of money
