What tire size should I buy?
Hey,
Unfortunately I have a flat tire and now have to buy a new one.
The tire shows the size
700 – 42c
and in brackets
( 40 – 622 )
Are these the internal and external dimensions?
Thank you very much in advance!

I moved to the village and gave my bike to a former "friend" because I had gotten a scooter. Now it's broken and I need the bike back. What can I do if he doesn't give it to me voluntarily?
Hello, I was hoping for some answers here. The rear derailleur, or rather, the rear gear, is slightly "off." This means that my chain keeps getting kicked into a higher gear even though I haven't actually shifted (too far to the right). Furthermore, I can no longer reach the lowest gear, i.e., the largest cog….
What exactly do the numbers on the stem mean? Should I tighten them to 8Nm? The Max. 50 is especially confusing.
The question is above. I have been riding a hardtail for 4 years and want to switch to a fully. If not, you can also retrofit it, right?
I'm not quite sure yet, so I wanted to ask if I can mount a suspension seatpost on the telescopic seat of my Cube stereo ONE22 pro 2023, or if that's not possible because of the push-button seat extension.
Hello, I'm interested in taking a bike tour through Norway during the NRW winter holidays, preferably along the coast. What should be feasible in terms of time: Take the train to the ferry, then the ferry to Oslo, then on to Kristiansand – Bergen – Trondheim, and from there take the train to Oslo and…
700C is an old French massage and used to describe the outside diameter of racing bike tires. In today’s trekkin grips, however, this size designation is total nonsense because their external diameter is much larger and has no significance anymore, only for reasons of traditon, because some of them still have their head, as well as the designation “28×1.5 inches”.
40-622 is the today standardized size according to ETRTO (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Tyre_and_Rim_Technical_organisation), 40 is the width in mm and 622 is the diameter of the wire which is incorporated in the bead.
40 is the width and variable. 622 is the diameter and most important. 28×1.5 is only a kind of generic term for simplification. It could also be 635 in diameter and still considered 28″ inch. 630 even applies 27 1/4
Hi, this table corresponds to the 28 inch
https://www.tomsbikecorner.de/fahrrad-tipps/fahrradreifen-groesse-determine
28 x 1,50 more precisely
when I look at it
the 700 is the old norm and new now are the 622s (I mean initiated by the French and currently probably the common ones)
One is the French, the other is the ETRTO size designation (40-622). With the latter you will surely find your right tire in the bicycle store.
