What should you sleep on when camping?

I'm going camping with my three-year-old child. We're traveling to the Baltic Sea by train without a car. I'm carrying everything without help, so I'm looking for ideas for sleeping on that are lightweight and take up little space in my backpack. Sleeping mats are too expensive for me; I can't pay €70 for a one-time trip; I'll never need those things again.

Maybe yoga mates are the right ones. If these are too thin, you can also sleep on an air mattress. Good air mattresses can be found for 15-20€.

There are super small pumps that hardly need space and hardly weigh. I always do this when we go to the lake. I don’t want to drag some baggage around.

You must have a buggy with a three-year-old kid. There’s something to store down there.

Why don’t you take a little handcart or a Boller car? There’s something that fits in and your kid’s out. 🙂

Whether sleeping on air mattress is so good for you when you have such back problems?

The questioner has to be clean and she needs two. Takes a lot too much space away.

You can’t buy courage!

Going camping with a three-year-old requires a lot of courage. What’s with a “hook spider”?

Air mattresses are not as comfortable as you might suspect but above all hard. Also on yoga mats, several placed on top of each other, you sweat, …

An air mattress for 2 people weighs hardly 3kg and most have a built-in foot pump. It is definitely not easier, lighter and cheaper.
