What should NOT be written on LinkedIn?
Hello there,
I've been busy on Linkedin over the last few days and suddenly had 140 profile views within a few days, including from managing directors, etc.
I must have posted something interesting. Or rather, people wanted to know what was going on… No, joking aside. The whole thing is actually quite sad.
LinkedIn is a business portal, after all. And that has its limitations, especially since it's public!
I actually want to pursue multiple sources of income in my life. Working (of course). But since I've gotten into dire straits through no fault of my own, I want to tap into other sources of income. One idea is crowdfunding.
Sure, it's cool that CEOs LOOKED at my profile. But it would be nice if I also gained added value from it. And I don't think something like "Innocently in dire straits" necessarily belongs on a public LinkedIn profile. What do you think?
Or my political opinion. That doesn't belong on LinkedIn, I'd say. And probably not publicly on Facebook either… What do you think?
I think the coolest thing I've discovered over the last few days is that there are ways to get CEOs interested in you on LinkedIn. Even if it's a post on their profile that raises a lot of questions. One CEO immediately offered me a job at her company. That means I don't seem to have done anything wrong.
And does a crowdfunding campaign even belong on LinkedIn?
It's nice that I have so many profile views. But no one has donated anything yet.
So, questions upon questions (in bold).
I find politics, religion, statements on social issues and, above all, your crowdfunding campaigns are not pure.
With such a set “unindebtedly get into very great trouble” you get out of the way.
Sure have many clicks. But they are probably more likely to want to know about the interest what a “vogel” is.
Thanks for the comment. I don’t think the situation is so easy. Usually you are on Linkedin with a perfect resume! After all, it’s a public platform.
Politics and religion have to look for LinkedIn nix. I think so.
If you happen to be a local leader of a party, then such a fact may of course be mentioned.
Thank you for your comment. Honestly, I have been completely surprised by the resonance I experienced on Linkedin.
And I think I should take care of something. If I miss out on my political stance with major managing directors from the region, this could also lead to a disadvantage for me.
And I have made a great deal of attention to WELCHE Managing Directors in the future. A former student of mine said I was in a special situation. She’s right.
Just because I want to try to drive financially multi-track (stitchword crowdfunding). There are so many companies in Germany. And I think it makes little sense to turn to “all” on the left. Not every company will be interested in supporting me.
