What should I write (ideas for longer stories)?

Hello first of all,

I'm actually a very interested hobby writer and have already written several longer things, etc.

However, I'm feeling a bit out of breath at the moment. I still have a lot of things started, but somehow I just don't feel like it. I keep opening the thing, then staring at the page for ages, only to close it again.

At the moment, I'd really like to write something new, but I don't really have a clue how to structure the storyline (in short: I just don't have any good ideas, even though I've been thinking about it for a while), so I was wondering if one of you might have an idea that could serve as inspiration (I don't expect a fully developed story).

I already have my characters and I'm personally quite interested in history (I've already written quite a bit, even though I'm currently stuck on a 1500 page alternate history 1800 century epic). It would be nice if it went in that direction, but I'm pretty free.

Best regards

Bevi

Post Scriptum: Please refrain from making comments that tell me to come up with something of my own. I know that would be primarily what I always think when I read something like that, but I've always tried to provide as much help as I could, and I hope you can say the same for me.

Maybe a fantasy story from a man from a hidden original civilization that goes on traveling and discovers the world

Or over 2 rulers who lead war with all the means of war, which ultimately leads to civil wars and join the citizens of both countries to fight against the armies of the rulers.

Oh, write is so beautiful! I’ve been writing my second, extremely imaginative, strange, pseudohistorical novel for about two years. The title is: The power of the church clocks. I noticed that from the 12th century to the 15th century there was only one clock in the towns and villages, namely the church clock. These watches were usually disastrously wrong. This resulted in all kinds of problems and situations. I’m crazy about my stories. Bring relationships problems, group dynamics, philosophers, faith, wizard, psychology, etc. into play, and everything revolves around the events associated with these completely wrongly running church clocks. My protagonists are two young men. A single church clock in the whole country went exactly, the church clock in the capital. These two young men, of very different beings, had the task of constantly bringing the right time of the church clock in the capital to the villages of the country and to put the church clocks right there afterwards. So they were constantly traveling from the capital to the villages and experienced a lot. Of course everything with love stories, sharp and with everything.

18. century was the origin of instustrialization. There’s a lot of movement. Regardless of whether Germany or England (the English historie at this time is great), whether it is about inventions or warlike conflicts – you will find something that starts when you deal with the time. It is full of conflict and full of individual skills that can inspire you. My own project is, for example, a conflict in the English cloth business around the time of American independence.

GAnd economy or individual skills? What stories of companies or people have made it into history? What groundbreaking invention was with setbacks, but then a success? What about plant pionage? History books can help you as well as company profiles on any homepage, guide or visit the museum. Let yourself be inspired. You should also consider what it is that you don’t end history.

Okay. Sound only in the question. Mine also has something to do with rising and declining, with politics, with hostility, with conflict through social differences (always offered), family and relationship. A colorful braid, built on the framework of trade, but far beyond. Maybe it makes the mix so it stays interesting?

Haha, I thought in the only writer who had this problem. I quickly realized you shouldn’t force yourself!

If you have an idea, write it up. If you write these, look at the others. There are new ideas. And in a few minutes you wrote soooo a lot.

If you force yourself, it’ll be a good thing. It’s at least my knowledge.

What I sometimes do is look for the bestsellers of my favorite genre at Amazon and compare it with my book. Then I always think, “I can do better!” Then I will always be inspired to write on 😀

Fantasy is always good. Four knights, everyone finds a holy sword, in each one a dragon is baptized.

The souls of the dragons come from the swords and bring terror over land and people.

A magician wants to help the dragon to a body of flesh and blood, so he kidnaps the virgins of the country.

The four are rushing to save.

That was an idea of me a long time ago, but it didn’t really come to the end.

then do something about n object that was invented in the period. Inform yourself (you even have the side effect that you learn something :D) about this time and then about n item that was invented. So just write about the person she invented and so on.
