What should I do if my dog overwhelms me?

I'm 15 years old and have only had small pets (specifically, a hamster and two birds) up until now. I adopted a dog (a Husky) just four days ago. She's only a year old, quite large, untrained, and very wild, which makes some things difficult for me, like walking her. At home, she's well-behaved and loves to sleep, but she's still overwhelming. My parents are hardly ever home, and my dog doesn't get along very well with them, which is why she's often around me.

I know that I should and should think carefully beforehand, but I have wanted a larger pet for a long time without even thinking about the consequences.

I adopted my dog through Facebook, where I then picked her up from the previous owner, who had only had her for about 6 days because the owner's wife was afraid of the dog.

It would break my heart to send her away, and I don't know how my parents will react when I tell them I'm not 100% happy. I often think about how I regret adopting her and how I even wish I had a cat instead. I know that regret is normal after adoption. But the thought crosses my mind too often. What should I do?

If this isn’t a troll question, but I’m out of it, since only yesterday, you should leave the dog at the animal shelter, and then you should stay with pet animals, or no more animals.

Picking a Husky as a first dog, yet another “hidder dog” that is given because he has scared the previous owners, is at naivety to not say stupidity hardly surpass.

Even I as one who never had a dog or only wanted to know that Husky’s IRRE VIEL WORK means!

Addendum according to your supplement:

Good thing you want to leave the dog was certainly not an easy decision.

The comments here may be partially hard, but this is simply because many here, me too, simply inconceivably annoyed when someone acquires animals without getting properly informed.

For in the end, the animal suffers most of it, although it can be least for it.

You’re 15, so old enough you could have informed you before.

But in the end, to say something positive: after all, you see your mistake, and you’re ready to do something about it, that’s what I expect you to do!

Just take it as a lesson for life, each one of us makes in his life sometimes stupid mistakes, for which we have to insert hard criticism, I myself too.

The most important thing is to look at his mistakes and not to rest as far as possible! That’s exactly where you’re with.

If you get an animal again, please from the animal shelter, who can best advise you what animal really fits you and your living conditions because they also know the characters of each animal.

Put the dog in good and responsible hands that know each other.

You have no experience, but you have acquired one of the most difficult races that is absolutely unsuitable for beginners. A very young animal. This dog has to be raised. Do you know that? Do you know what movement force Huskys have? Do you have time and pleasure every day with the dog through the forest to jog, in any weather?

This is never good, so you should be reasonable and understand that the dog’s claims are not compatible with yours.

It is not a shame to admit an error. But it’s a shame not to do if you’ve recognized the mistake.

You don’t have a dog. You shouldn’t have left the dog to you as long as your parents don’t sign it because you’re not full-year. So you took a dog in private care.

Return the animal to its owners.

If I was wrong with it and misunderstood it and your parents were there and signed a purchase agreement, it is also not your dog, but your parents’ dog. You’re responsible. But as you all lack the necessary time, even here the advice: give the dog away, best in a shelter where you are looking for really responsible people for this poor animal.

Even if in the animal shelter is not beautiful for dogs, I would absolutely agree… especially in this case.

After all, the Husky is a very popular race, and someone who has no experience could probably blame anyone interested in knowing it.

And that’s how the dog would go to the hiking cup… Animal shelters can significantly better assess the interests.

Exactly. And the poor animal seems to be a trekking cup when you read:

I adopted my dog on Facebook, where I then picked it up with the previous owner who had it only about 6 days, because the owner’s wife was afraid of the dog.

They probably hadn’t even registered the dog yet, and the questioner has certainly not done so yet, since he/she, as a minor, is legally unable to do so.

Right. Sad story.

That’s why my advice is to take the dog to the shelter. But first, the legal question must be clarified to whom the dog currently belongs: the parents or the supposed previous owners.

Jup, only a cup loses the splendour, through the more hands he goes… the poor dog, who must constantly get used to new conditions and people – all not race-friendly – becomes more and more disturbed.

And the more disturbed the dog, the more unlikely it is that he still finds a good home.

But I don’t need to tell you that, you know all that well enough :’)

Husky is not a novice dog so you have a lot too young with 15 there. Then the Husky is probably 1 year ago and probably previous owners hadn’t taken care of training education, which has a negative disadvantage

the only thing that can help you is dog school ideal also + dog sports, but clearly because then your parents need to pay but only there you learn the right way to deal with not beginners dogs, Husky needs utilisation head and movement and not too little of that makes it really fun with a Husky then also is underwhelmed by this race more than just exhausting and hardly workable

or you give them in experienced hands without wanting to next pet, because every animal brings work with it also cats

So, you know now what the best solution would be for you and also the dog – nice that you at least see it and understand – and have searched for a solution instead of “stop it”.

If you like dogs and you want one again… then among the bigger ones are not without reason for Labrador and Golden Retriever with the most popular.

Their needs are easier to meet and also forgive mistakes rather than the demanding races.

Then it’s not important where a dog comes from. As mentioned breeds are very popular, naturally growers rage because the big money – the females are abused as bearers, costs and effort are being shattered in puppy breeding, since the profit is to be as high as possible.

Please do not fall on puppies without paper “from loving hobby breeding” – this is of course written by every replica.

Yes, dogs of club breeders have their price – but the parents are also examined for genetic diseases and beings etc. And that’s all. For this, the puppies are much less beautiful. Some breeders even make sure to choose a dog that suits DIR. From character. Because good breeders know their shooters.

Otherwise, look at the shelter. But you have to be lucky – because early-friendly and especially young dogs are very fast away, while 9 out of 10 permanent occupants are because they all have to carry their parcels.

But at least you can be sure not to get underjugated too difficult or even aggressive dog. Quite different from classifieds – of course, people often describe their pet so that someone takes it.

Whatever happens, it’s a lot of success.

Take three hours for dog sports every day – then it is also exhausted and no longer wild.

If you don’t want to do this, give it off – instead of tormenting it.

Without any dog experience then getting a Husky is already naive. These are difficult dogs that need actvity and strong leadership.

You should go to a dog school with the animal. There you learn to lead the dog better and understand him. It can only be better.

You probably had dogs idealized before you had one. This often happens with things you can’t have or have.

Don’t give up. Try the dog school. And you have a lot to get him to the fish. It may not be used.

Better find a owner who also gets clear with the dog.

Until you find such a thing,Dog school visit.

You’re a minor, so you can’t get a dog. Your parents are irresponsible, yes they should hand the dog to suitable hands.
