What kind of plaster for handprint?
Hey, my wife and I want to make a mold of our hands and have bought all the necessary materials.
Unfortunately, the impression doesn't take on any white color; it looks somewhat brownish (Image 1). We used alabaster plaster here.
Do you know which castable plaster would give us a pure white impression (Image 2) and where the wrinkles would be clearly visible? Unfortunately, we're not satisfied with alabaster plaster.

There are so many different types of plaster…I have a Casea special TS here, which is really superwhite and hard, but is only produced on order. If you tell me in a private message where about you live…maybe close, then you can have something of it. Otherwise, I would look at sculpt.de or at the artist’s needs (gerstäcker, boesner).

Is it just as 40 (?)-kg-sack, is not expensive (about 25€) but the shipping is pure because they only send by forwarding, and under a ton you still pay minor supplement…for such a small amount therefore not really practical. My gypsum has been 18 months old and therefore no longer the freshest…so ne hand has to stop nix, so should go…

This is enough simple stucco gypses.
In pure white the plaster is always only when it completely dry it can take a few days, depending on the thickness.
