What kind of Minecraft plugin could my friend and I program?

My boyfriend and I would like to program a Minecraft plugin, but we don't know what to program. We don't have much experience and would like to program something that doesn't exist yet or isn't very common.

You could definitely program a plugin that if you play on a server and want to shut down the server a warning either in the chat or even better comes in the screen, but you can also pack it in a boss bar! Then a countdown runs until the Servee turns off!
Alternative:
A plugin that if someone wants to join on the server can't be on it and that's there, the server is just in maintenance, and that's just the operators on it because they can then logically repair server or whatever!
PS: I know myself with plugins!
