I’m pretty sure it’s some wrinkle/motte, the hornet doesn’t have feathered feelers, and the wings look faltering too

Maybe he’s already dead or just hatched that the wings unfold

It reminds me of a kind of hornet or so there are so ne Japanese variant that is immigrated here and completely black. (I believe)
