What kind of diaries do you use?
Hey,
I keep a diary and have tried out several books so far. My goal was actually to find one type of book and stick with it, but somehow I find that all the books look completely different.
But instead of spending hours googling diaries and finding a nice one, I ask you.
Which ones do you use? Feel free to include links to the pages or images.
I'm not going to write down any expectations that the book should have because I'd rather be completely surprised.
You can throw anything in. There's no monetary limit either.

I also run diary, but now use an app for it. Earlier, I used books, mostly those china slaves.

Something like that. However, they have fallen victim to the age of digitalization. 😊 An app offers many benefits, I find. Especially that you can add photos.
I’m old school. I have bought Mini Thermoprinter to stick pictures.
I also have a tablet as I can write handwritten on it, but I like to fill up books slowly every day.
Never wrote a diary myself.I find it as a nonsense if you do not document a certain significant situation. War diaries or the course of a wedding preparation will be valid. But if a classmate (the best friend) gives me her private diary to read… it’s questionable. She was convinced that there are only secrets and only I can read that. Today she laughs about her “important written secrets” 🙂 : “Have no bock at school today. But still go,” “Was there an ice cream today after school, we were allowed to go for heat-free, I took advantage of it, or as Fake-Bsp. :”My grandma plucked me today because I am too slow when picking berries: a berries in the mouth & 10 then in the basket. I had a number-driver in my brain;-)

And that’s why I don’t understand why you give the best friend the diary to read. And even the best friend you only trust up to a certain point. It was school time. I think that you understood me. These are stupid entries in a diary. But the main thing is a diary. I understand you. If there weren’t people like this, some things, careers, etc., we wouldn’t know about some things. I call Anne Frank. Her records in a diary had meaning & was revealingly shocking for the afterworld.

I’m glad you do that. Others do it differently.
My diary is in my head. There are always memories there, whether good or evil. Even small things where you suddenly believe in a Deja Vu. The safest & best hiding place for thoughts.

EVERYONE has his own reason to write a diary. This is NOT primarily about any secrets. For ME it's a relaxation, because my diary can't answer me and I'll write things that aren't intended for everyone.
Zwickmühle. You can’t write in a secret diary that is secretly true in the ice cream parlour. In front of everyone, when some fellow students were there;-) I find this curious & a pointless entry in the diary. What is important about the open secret to record it? Her parents were always loose on it. On the contrary. She always had freedom from the house.
Whatever’s in a diary. Whether secrets or not. It’s a huge proof of trust. From the moment on, one can say that one has an unconditional relationship of trust.

I don’t think anyone who has an important diary today, which has just as desired. It was written because you wanted it yourself. It’s not different today. who knows maybe it will be my diary in 100 years that will be published everywhere. Nobody knows anything about history or not.
Conclusion.
For every person, the diary has a different significance. Some use it to have a “person” but because they find it cool.
For everyone, the meaning is individual.
No one knows if the diary will become important to every person at some point or not.
