What kind of connections are these (Wifi)?
Hi, I've moved and want to connect a Wi-Fi router. The only problem is I have so many different connections, and none of them work. I have green connections in the wall, but unfortunately, the router's WAN connector doesn't fit. Does anyone know what this is? I have fiber optic.
Congratulations, you found the glass transition point in your bud. If you want to ruin your eyes, you should keep looking into the fibers like on your 2nd picture…
As has already been said, you need either an ONT that the provider places or a router that has integrated such a thing. AVM offers something like this in the form of various Fritzboxes.
The can should also have a cover with a number. This needs the provider to unlock the connection.
Bingo, you found the glass fiber connection. You need a SC “cable” or a transceiver that converts the optical signal into an electrical signal. Turn to your provider.
…and that’s the connection.
Now you need either a router that supports native fiberglass or an external transceiver that converts the optical signal into an electrical so that you can retain your old router.
This is a glass fiber connection – there is a glass fiber cable to the glass fiber router/modem pure.
Finding out who put the fiber optic connector would be my first goal, because the only one who can send you the right hardware you need to plug in is the right one after you finish a tariff.
