Hello Responders,
I often see this part circled in red on motorcycles and wonder what it's supposed to be. At first, I thought it might be for air supply to the engine or a reservoir for brake or other fluids, but that can't be the case. Can you tell me what it is?

I bought a moped a week ago, and it kept squeezing oil out of the clutch release lever. So I removed the release lever and started it without it. Then I saw why oil was always being squeezed out. The oil rises like foam and then pushes out the top.
It is the compensating tank for the brake fluid.

Yeah, that’s the case when you have a disc brake at the back and at the front. Some models, especially older ones, only have hydraulic disc brakes on the front and the significantly weaker brake drum with mechanical pull on the back.
You know that the brake is flushed over the right foot in the back? If the container is left for a hydraulic coupling.
