What is the Zg6 follow-up signal all about on the railway?

I saw a white end panel in a signal book that somehow indicates that a special train is following. I don't really understand it. Can anyone tell me more about this?

Again Switzerland:

Old and forgotten signals (lokifahrer.ch)

Here is a lot explained below.

This was really the time when there was no route telephone and the only way to communicate railway personnel on the route.

So that they knew when a lootwork called what came from what direction!

Today, for example, the Rigi Bahn still has the green light, or the green panel that shows a follow-up:

Hello

In the early days of the railway there was no telephone, so such signs were communicated to the trains of the neighboring railway station.
