"When and where does the semester card apply?
The semester card is valid for five months: in the winter semester from 1 September to 31 January, in the summer semester from 1 February to 30 June. For the months of July and August, students can solve a holiday month card.
The ticket is valid on all lines within Vienna (Kernzone Wien) for metro, tram and bus lines (except special fast bus lines) as well as for ÖBB (eg fast train) and the Viennese local railways (until Vösendorf-Siebenhirten)."
