What is the maximum number of hours you are allowed to work per week during an apprenticeship?

So, my training contract states that I work 38 hours a week. But at the company, my work starts at 7 am and ends at 5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. I work 9 hours a day, Monday to Wednesday, and then vocational school from 8 am to 4 pm, minus a 1-hour lunch break. 7 hours, which comes to 41 hours a week, is too much for me. Besides, my contract states that up to 38 hours a week isn't legally prohibited. I don't want to live for the company either.

If you're of legal age, there's nothing wrong with the 38 hours. But mathematically, it doesn't add up—you should address this so that the number of days you spend at the office can be reduced.

Clarify this with the HR department.

You can easily get over 38 hours.

Do you have two days of school? Then you have to go to work on one of those days.

Can you start later or leave earlier? Do you have flexibility? What's your job?

You just have to make it fit.
