What is the difference between the two forms of discussion?

  1. Concrete discussion task in which reference is to be made to a quotation
  2. Quote as a starting point whose statement is to be discussed

I'm not sure what the difference is, what should I leave out of one and what should be included in the other?

At 1. you have to write something like this: blah blah blah, I refer to the quotation of this and that is so and so.

at 2. you have to write: the quote from lalalala says that and that from that you can see there and there because so and so.

So that means at 1 you use a quote as an addition in your discussion

at 2 you will discuss the meaning of a quote
