What is the difference between a sow, a boar, and a young wild boar?
I went hunting with my father today and saw some wild boars…
My father immediately recognized whether it was a piglet, a sow, or a young piglet…
How do I recognize this?
Are there any characteristics that can be recognized, eg sow = female weighs 50 kg and has red stripes … <—– I have no idea if that is correct, that was just an example
Looking forward to help
Black game – sows – wild boar:
Freshling – male and female black game up to an age of 12 months
Female and male black game aged from one to two years
Bache – female black game from the second year of life
Wedge – male black game
And many more expressions you may have heard in connection with the Saujagd:

And here's something else:

With the weight alone the difference – Keiler/Bache/Überlaufen is not cleared.
Here you can watch the creeks, wedges and freshness:

Thank you very much for the star:

I'm just wondering why you don't just ask your father or google…
I'd just say wedges are bigger, brooks smaller and freshling are small and striped.
Thanks for letting me laugh today.
So, did you shoot something?
Ask your father!
No, then I'm totally stupid
why? You can't know everything and ask nothing. If you don't learn to ask, you'll be stupid later.
Sow: female
Wedges: male
Freshlings: the boys of the brooks and the wedger
