What is the best way to improve my Turkish?
Hello,
So my problem is, I'm currently in Turkey. My parents are both Turkish, so I'm Turkish too. They speak Turkish to me every day, and I can speak it fairly well, so I can only communicate at a standard level. Now when I watch the news or watch films in Turkish, I understand very little. I never know how to form sentences when I speak. I know the words, but I can never think of how to use them. Do you have any tips or ideas on how I can improve my Turkish so that I can speak it fluently?

From own experience.
I’m not a Turk (my husband is Turk), I’m well-improved by my Turkish,while I’m starting to watch Turkish series.
I can advise you to speak at home with your parents/family Turkish
You are not the only one with such problems, remember that
I guess about movies and songs.
I would say best read books or install duolingo.
There are also videos on Youtube.
It’s best to help your parents. Why don’t you start learning Turkish every day?
On YT there are so learner videos for the production, you can watch something… otherwise I would advise you to watch movies or series on Turkish with German subtitles
Go around all day with Turks who cannot speak German and speak with them. Become a member of a club, look for a job, etc.
