What is an identifier value displayed on the PC?
When I printed out a recovery key for BitLocker Drive Encryption, I received a document with two different numbers. The first number was labeled as the identifier value, and the second as the recovery key. The document tells me to compare the identifier with an identifier value displayed on the PC. And if I understand correctly, if these two identifiers don't match, then the recovery number (the second number on the document) is also incorrect. However, I couldn't find anything on the PC labeled with an identifier value. Can anyone tell me where and how I can find this strange identifier value?
Den findest du, falls es jemals dazu kommen sollte, in der Abfrage für den Wiederherstellungsschlüssel: “Geben sie den Wiederherstellungsschlüssel mit dem Bezeichner XY ein:”.
Hello smiregal8472,
Is there any way to leave a scan here? I can't find anything…
Best regards Gladiatorinnen2
No need, I know the thing.
Looks something like this:
You only need this if you receive this prompt:
?w=600&h=538
You will be shown briefly below the input field which ID/identifier/etc. the expected key has.
Okay, now I know and I'm calm again.
Thanks

You can also convert a scan into a jpg image and post it here in your question.
Hello smiregal8472,
Thanks for your reply, but as described, there are two numbers on the note. I'll try to send you a scan. Then you'll see what I mean.
Best regards, Gldiatorinnen2
Sorry, I've been trying to send the scan here for ages, but I can't find a way.
