What is a good beginner car?

Hello,

I recently got my driving license (B197).

I'd like to get my own car, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the options available 😀 That's why I wanted to ask for some input here – I think some people here know a bit more about it.

What would be important to me:

– An automatic transmission would be nice, but it's not a must. (I'm driving my friend's old BMW a lot these days and am getting back into the swing of things.)

-it shouldn't be too big (so no station wagon or something like that).

-a few electronic helpers would also be nice :).

-Price-wise it should be in the cheaper range.

Otherwise I'm completely open.

Thank you for your advice!

A car is a car.

Consider what you want (equipment, etc.). Then consider how old it can be and how many kilometers it can have. Since you plan to keep it for a few more years, maybe something no older than 12-14 years and maybe around 180,000 km. That's always worked well for me.

So, you enter that into a used car portal – and then you simply pick the cheapest one that meets these requirements. It doesn't matter what name it has, what manufacturer it's from, or whatever.

That's how I did it and it actually always worked well.
