What internet performance do I need?

I'll be watching TV over the internet in the future. I'll be watching in HD. It's possible that I'll be watching on two TVs at once. Is 100MB sufficient for that, or should I get a faster internet connection? I'll get a FRITZ!Box of some kind. Regards.

A full HD stream needs about 5 Mbit/s. With 100 Mbit/s you can stream on more than two devices simultaneously.

A movie streamed in HD down- needs 5 MBit of your Internet…

At 2 movies at once, you need 10 Mbit..

A 100 Mbit line is perfect for this…

Otherwise, if you want to stream yourself, the HD stream of your game also needs 5 Mbit upstream…

Since you have only 10 Mbit upstream with a 100 Mbit line, you can send a maximum of 2 streams simultaneously – which is usually enough…

If the 100 line really delivers what it promises, then this is enough for 5 full HD streams at the same time.

I would say that depending on the provider, this is enough for 3-5 4K streams at the same time, provided that the line is as fast as the contract is.

If you're loose, you can take 50Mbit or something. Would be cheaper and still enough
