What in God's name is this cable?

Hey community! I recently found a box with what at first glance appear to be XLR cables. But upon closer inspection, you can see that the cables have a DC/AC adapter on the female end.
I opened one of these cables and found that the wiring
makes no sense at all.

Pin 1: Red, Red (DC Adapter)

Pin 2: Black, Black (DC Adapter)

Pin 3: –

This doesn't conform to XLR or DMX standards, and I have no idea what to do with it or what it's used for. Hopefully someone can help me!
