What if I have accentuations in several personality disorders?
All right, first of all I want to make it clear that I am not diagnosing myself in any way and I don't intend to do that.
I'm 17 years old (turning 18 this year) and was in a youth psychiatric hospital for several months. I was given a standard diagnosis upon admission, but I feel like my diagnoses don't explain the extent of my problems and are therefore hindering my treatment. Therefore, I asked for a personality disorder test (SKIT 10 or something similar), which was then administered.
The result was that I have high accentuations in five different disorders from all three clusters. This, of course, means I can't be diagnosed with anything and am now stuck with a "personality disorder."
But that doesn't help me in therapy, and the question of what's wrong with me only intensifies. I don't want to discuss this with my therapist, because she's one of those people who generally rejects diagnoses.
So my question is, can anyone tell me if they know what caused this result or if they know it from their own experience?
Why not?
in therapy the real problems of the patient are addressed
in which diagnostic drawer one pushes these problems is actually irrelevant if one uses appropriate therapeutic measures to tackle the problems
Why isn't that enough for you as a diagnosis?
Okay, I'm trying with an example, you're going to the doctor because of chronic pain after excessive stress, which then tells you that you need to train your stamina and writes you painkillers that do not help but improve your condition in the long term. Actually, it is not the im portability and lack of endurance that causes pain, but a chronic illness or invisible disability. But if the doctor knows nothing about it, he can never treat you properly. Diagnosis is there to know what the problem is and how to proceed.
Apart from that, I want to know what's wrong with me and not sit in the dark all my life. Hope you can understand this now
what?
So you have the impression that you are not treated properly psychotherapeutically and do not get the type of therapy you need because your diagnosis is not clear enough?
you do not

that should be enough to tune the therapy to you
the human psyche is not always clear and clear
Clarity and clarity only exist in mathematics
