What ideas do you have for structuring your day when you are unable to work?

I am in a rehabilitation center for the mentally ill and learned this week that I am too unstable and unable to cope with stress for the professional phase, so we will be applying for reduced earning capacity when my social worker returns from vacation in three weeks.

But now I'm really thinking about what I can do if I can't even manage a supervised apprenticeship.

I wanted to train as an administrative assistant or office management clerk, but unfortunately that didn't work out.

Do you have any ideas for daily structure, additional income opportunities, childcare options, activities, or anything else? I'd like some inspiration to help me plan my future a little better.

My idea is that you use the EM harvest and the associated time to focus on your health. Most of the EM clients are terminated anyway and it will probably take a longer time until they have been approved and you will finally get your first payout. You could use the time to stabilize yourself. Outpatient psychotherapy, day clinic, if you want to go back to work in the long term, stay on it! Depending on what you suffer and how old you are – mental illnesses do not have to remain exactly the same all life. If you work on you, you can do something. In addition to outpatient therapy, you could go for example in psychiatric intensive day care, provide the daily structure and a fixed framework program. If that works, you could be on the 3rd. Labor market try to get a job on a low-earner basis or go to a day center with work therapy first. Many ways are open to you, it is important that you do not give up yourself and continue to work on you.

My experience also shows that not the whole life is lost if you do not benefit from therapy. It was just not the right therapy yet. You have to find what helps you in the whole sum of treatment offerings. And definitely the right therapist!

How about volunteering?

The great advantage here: in the Volunteer Office you are not obliged to do anything, do everything voluntarily. This allows you to gradually find out what you can afford in whatever way.

In the type of activity, there are almost everything in options! In the meantime, there are also various apps and portals where non-profit associations actively write out, and they would like volunteers to support them. Why don't you shoot what you find on the spot?

I am currently training in the framework of a professional rehabilitation in a BBW for mentally impaired. It may be possible for you to complete a vocational preparation phase at such a vocational training facility.

There you have a network of psychological and social pedagogical help and an ordered daily structure. In addition, you will be prepared for this training as best as possible in the preparation phase. You should find a BBW that offers this training.

I wish you all the best.

Hey, can I ask what you have and how resilient you are to be able to give tips?

I have the feeling you can do more than you trust.

Best regards, Tobias

How would an activity with animals (life shelter, wildlife park, gardening facilities) be something free, with fewer people and basically a safe space?
