What has ever happened to you at the airport security checkpoint?
Has anything bad/embarrassing ever happened to you at the airport security checkpoint?
I was just stopped leaving London because of pepper spray I had unwittingly brought with me. Well, the police were called, and thankfully, I only received a warning.
Has something like this ever happened to you?
Since I was on a plane for over 2000 times and visited 159 countries, there were already some strange “receipts” at various airports. The fact that in many countries people are sitting at immigration or at customs, which have been chosen as low as possible after an IQ does not make it easy.
In Curacao, I was forced to take off to the underpants before about 150 applauses of lavish rides. (For luck I wore a swimwear)
I’ve been deported five times. Once because Danish officials did not recognize a Spanish DNI as a valid ID document. And an Indonesian did not know that Trinidad is a real country with its own passport.
At the Austrian border near Bregenz I was considered Carlos. What brought me in a cellar for four days. The “real” Carlos sat at the same time, for over 2 years in another cell – in France.
And on my penultimate flight trip, the nice lady commanded the security control: “Take belts, up in these boxes and arms!” I then: “Senorita, when I leave the belt and lift the arms, my pants follow gravity, and…” ARME HOCH, PRONTO. And there I stood again – in swimwear.
My laptop was tested positively for explosives. And that in Tel Aviv, where the airport is known for its sharp control.
my laptop was then packed into a separate box and must fly separately from me in the luggage compartment.
Nice story. Laptops must not enter the cargo hold for security reasons.
I don’t have to believe it, but it was like that. It was packed and abandoned as a cargo. And then I could get him from the baggage band on arrival in Heathrow, just like my suitcase. I never did. And certainly is not an experience that I would like to repeat again. Fun did not do it because of course all other hand luggage was thoroughly checked.
Open suitcases because a knife was in there. Leave gas out of a storm lighter. Take off shoes.
