What happens when you register somewhere?
There are some websites where you have to register with your email address to access content. What are the possible consequences of registering for such a website, or are there none other than potentially spam?

With ordinary service providers, you get what's agreed, and you'll get at least spam in bad deals and criminals. In addition to the mail address, other personal information is often also requested, the address, date of birth, gender, account data/credit card data/etc.
All personal information can be abused and they are naturally abused by our and criminal people. Always be very economical with the delivery of information!
Spam can always be, but you can also hack your Google account if you haven't properly protected it.
