What happens if you slip a letter under the front door?

Hello, I know this is a really stupid question. I wrote a personal letter and wanted to give it to someone. However, since the whole situation is a bit uncomfortable for me and there's no mailbox at my front door, I've been looking for alternative ways to "deliver" the letter without having to ring the doorbell or enter the house.

The letter fit through, and the name is on the envelope. So it should be in the hallway. There are four tenants in the building, so it's not like it's a huge apartment complex.

Only in retrospect did I realize that this might not have been the smartest idea, since the letter might get thrown away or no one might notice it. However, I don't want to ask whether the person received the letter.

How would you react if you saw a letter in the stairwell? Has this ever happened to you? Are letters with a clear address allowed to simply be thrown away/not forwarded?

Thanks!

Someone will find him, and no one here can see and predict what will happen with it 🙂

If, however, the letter is clearly addressed, it simply assumes that it also reaches its addressees 😀

However, as there should be a mailbox for almost every building, you probably only overlooked it 🙂

I’d be curious and want to know who he comes from and what’s inside.
I don’t know, there’s something like that often in movies and I think it’s nice to see something like that in real life.

Would you open the letter even though it’s not for you?

No, it’s not. There’s something that calls itself “letter secret”.

Yeah, but in that case, I could screw my curiosity down.

I actually meant that I was curious and that I could hardly expect to open the letter, he would be for me.

I asked about your statement that you were curious.

What I wonder, there are 4 rental parties, but not a single mailbox?

Joa – I should have pushed the letter downstairs. And if I were the finder, I would leave the letter where he should go. I’ll push the thumbs.

Letterboxes are sometimes inside and the deliverer then has a key.

You can also apply for official delivery to the court officer 🙂

Which house does not have a mailbox? I would pass on such a letter to the recipient. But do not consider your behavior.

There are several possibilities now.

However, you depend on the goodwill of the finder. E r decides what happens to your letter. If he passes him on, he puts him aside or opens him.

There’s nothing left for you to ask or wait for the answer.

Normal people give the letter to the recipient. You can also send it back to the sender or hand it back to the fund office. If there’s no stamped stamp on it, it’s just a cover with anything. Maybe it’s money? Oh, you should open it and check it out.
