What happens if you press key 1 as requested when receiving a spam call?
Someone dear to me just received their first spam call.
A recorded message babbled something like: "Paypal and that €500 was misdirected and you have to press 1 to clarify."
Unfortunately, the person actually unknowingly pressed the 1 button and shortly afterwards the call was disconnected.
To clarify the whole thing, he called back and ended up talking to a person who knew nothing about it.
That’s not much. In fact, they often call with wrong numbers, or wrong numbers are even displayed by other people. They get them zb from fakeshops, fake win, from calls, sms to tv transmitters also apps like Temu and Co. They don’t even hide data being passed on or the numbers are randomly selected. They can’t book money.
It was said on TV that you switch to a paid number by pressing a button, which can cost hundreds of euros in the first second.
The money has now been stolen
Gar nix.
Hopefully.
I’ve read somewhere to confirm an R conversation, which is badly expensive.
This has to be explained extensively
That I am worried about and hoped for experiences and perhaps solutions (or at least how it gets less bad).
If the fraud is then you also have to agree in nix to get money calculated; So what are you going to do?
I’m sure there’s nothing to explain in the case of frauds, and they’re still doing the way they want.
I have had over half a year daily up to 7 such and similar calls.
I know what this is.But in an R talk you can’t agree effectively if it’s not explained extensively on the phone, including the fees incurred. In it you can’t accidentally consent
(?)
Oh, yeah, I don’t know if this is called.
R talks are telephone calls in which the caller takes over the costs. I only know the American name.
Hello, could you please tell me what happened? My mother’s the same thing happened and she’s taking care of herself now
It didn’t cost extreme phone fees.
Apparently, the forwarding had already been blocked by the Federal Network Agency.
This will also be the reason why it immediately separated.
Colleagues told me that when pressing the “1” there were band announcements with any bitcoin offerings (or so).
