What exactly is that about the injection system?

Hi. I have a 2019 Peugeot Kisbee, a 2-stroke fuel-injected scooter. It has 3,500 km on it, so it's still pretty new. However, I discovered this on the fuel-injection system, and I've never seen it before since this is my first scooter with a fuel-injection system. It looks like an air filter to me and is relatively soft. It's hard, but still like a hard foam mat, for example. I wanted to ask what the part is called and whether it should be replaced soon; it looks like it's about time.

Below are pictures of the scooter, and then of the specified part:

Thanks for the help!

This is your engine control unit, which forms a unit with your throttle valve.

Such casting compositions serve to protect electronic components from moisture.

If the mass gets cracks, water could penetrate there with time and cause damage.

The risk of adhesive tape is that any penetrating water can spread behind it and hardly evaporate. Well, maybe some sealing compound.

Yes, some manufacturers sometimes came up with the ingenious idea of building the engine control unit on the throttle valve, so that the exchange becomes twice as expensive and it is exposed to the environmental influences as much as possible, instead of building it protected under the disguise like all others.

It could also be sealed with new potting compound, but what one takes best for it is deprived of my knowledge, I had to deal with the problem fortunately not yet.
